We all know how expensive household cleaners can be. Not to mention there are at least ten different cleaners you need to keep your house looking spotless(because hello, you're the perfect housewife). I have found 4 different cleaners you can make at home with things you probably already have around the house instead of paying those expensive retail prices.
Basic Cleaning spray
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
This can be used to clean anything from countertops, to windows, to getting the dried on food out of your microwave. I know the vinegar can have a unpleasant smell so to help with this you can add a few lemon or orange peels to the mixture, or if you're into essential oils those work great as well!
Disinfectant Spray
- Hydrogen peroxide
This is great to use on anything you're worried may be carrying germs. I personally like to use it on my toliets and in the kitchen with raw meats and such. This solution must be stored in a dark bottle since it reacts with light and will start breaking down.
Floor Cleaner
- 1/4 cup of baking soda
- 1/4 cup of vinegar
- 1 tablespoon dish soap
- 2 gallons of hot water
Tip: To keep your solution from being too sudsy add the dish soap last! Also, if you want to make it a disinfectant cleaner add some Borax! This can be used on all flooring types except natural stones. Happy mopping!
All purpose scrub
- Baking Soda
- Splash of vinegar
This solution is great for those tough spots of dried on food and such! It was be used on countertops, cabinets, floors, etc.
